SO, the most important news last week in the Weston area was about a rather silly young man who decides to have a slightly controversial haircut and his mother who doesn't want to support the school he attends. The headteacher makes it clear that the boy has not been suspended, so what gives this story such merit? If he loses two weeks of his schooling then it is his own choice. If he can't learn to follow a simple dress code and school rules then there isn't much hope for him as he moves into employment and his mother isn't doing him any favours by supporting him in this. Shame on you for wasting time on such a foolish young man and such an irresponsible parent!GILL BANWELL - By e-mail
