I AM writing to dispel any myth that people in Weston don't care. I am a diabetic and whilst shopping in Tesco I collapsed with a hypoglycaemic attack. I had a fit and was unconscious. Security staff and regular Tesco staff stayed with me and called for an ambulance. They talked to me and made sure I ate half a sandwich when I regained consciousness, despite my insistence I wasn't diabetic! Whilst in A&E the care I was given was second to none. After a brief stay in Kewstoke ward I was transferred to Waterside where as an NHS patient I was treated with the utmost courtesy. I was even offered a hot drink at 1.30am.I just want to say that if it wasn't for the fact that people went out of their way to be kind and helpful my stay in hospital would have been so much worse.Qualifications do matter, but a friendly face and some reassurance when you are not well goes twice as far.ALISON MOORE - Bailey Close, Weston
