IT'S A funny old world - visitors to Weston saying what a lovely place this is. Obviously it's nice to hear those remarks. But then they moan about the areas they came from. For the record in a recent survey on British beaches, Weston did not make the top 10. North Suffolk was first, Blackpool came sixth. No matter where you go, visitors mostly say what a nice place to come to yet many locals give a thumbs down to their areas. It would be rather boring if everyone thought the same way, but what hurts a number of Westonians is the lack of good quality attractions. The slowness of development of the Tropicana is an example. If resorts want to encourage tourists they must create something to bring them.P J MAIN - Axe Close, Weston
