AS A local resident and regular walker along Clevedon's lovely seafront, I have become increasingly dismayed at the lack of care afforded to this area.
Over this last weekend as the Marlens put on magnificent entertainment, the sun shone and the Balmoral brought more visitors to our pretty town, it was a pity that the grass was long and tufty with long stalks of seeding dandelions dominating the scene. The kerbs and walls were thick with tall weeds and brambles-sorrel plantain and thick nettles catching the unwary walker. Dog bins full, overflowing and stinking.
Surely our rates cover rubbish collections and ground maintenance. If we want dog owners to pick up after their pets, please provide more bins and empty them regularly. We have local councillors - are they interested and concerned?
