OVER the last eight months I have been privileged enough to work once again with the students of Worle Community School and the Red Triangle Players on a mammoth musical production, the Pirates of Penzance.

After three highly successful nights at the school the performance transferred to the Playhouse on July 18 where it was received with two standing ovations.

I would like to express my huge congratulations to the cast, crew, band and arrangers of this production. It was a magical evening that equalled and outshone many professional performances I have seen over the years - and I have seen many. The commitment and dedication of all involved was phenomenal and a testimony to the fact that not all youth is to be denigrated by the adults of society. These young people made me proud to know them and to work with them and I wish to publicly acknowledge their effort, energy, enthusiasm and faith in me.

I know that they will take a life changing experience away with them. Bravo.
