Following Mr Paynter's letter "In disrepair" last week, in which he refers to the condition of the pavement from the Old Thatched Cottage to the corner of Upper Church Road in Weston, I can confirm that we will be repairing and widening this stretch of pavement. The work will be carried out as part of the wider sea front enhancement project, which is currently upgrading the Marine Lake area. Work on the pavement is likely to begin in the autumn. The project will see further improvements along the promenade as well. DAVID TURNER - Director of Development and Environment North Somerset Council
