Local newspapers recently published letters from a Nigel Allen, of Locking Road, in which he not only criticised my judgement on a planning issue in Stanley Road but went on to claim that, although he had voted for me at the last Council election, he is now discouraging others from so doing at next year's local election because he feels 'betrayed'. On checking my Stanley Road file I see no such person has ever contacted me about this particular planning application. Nor indeed has anyone else living in Locking Road made representation, which is not surprising since that road is unaffected by the plan. Furthermore I am unable to locate this Mr Allen in either the telephone directory, or the Register of Electors which is strange since he claims to have voted for me at the last election. Perhaps he would be kind enough to telephone so that we may discuss the issue; I'm in the book.JOHN CROCKFORD-HAWLEY- Councillor, Central Ward, Weston
