ON February 16 I parked in Carlton Street car park, paid for three hours and returned after two. There was a ticket stuck to my side window. My crime? Front wheels projecting slightly but definitely outside of my white box (empty spaces to each side and in front). I had committed an offence, was it deliberate? No. was it with intent? No. Was it a total lack of any awareness of such a rule and the fact that there are more important things to think about in life? Yes. Any room for forgiveness? No. Any chance of "oops, sorry won't do it again?" Not a chance 'Rules is rules'. The small print next to the pay machine states, quite clearly 'keep strictly within your box'... do not stray outside of your box, the box is there for a reason. Without the box the whole of civilisation would break down. I have been a bad boy. I will pay my fine. Fascism rules, long live the fascists. JERRY WINCHESTER - Lynch Lane, Cheddar
