A FEW years ago my brother and I had both our parents' ashes interned in what was then a corner of peace and tranquillity in this the England they so loved and for which my father nearly gave his life in the two world wars. But now, and with the greatest of respect, it looks more like a 'fairground' with all its glitter and chintz and sparklets. Please dear people of Weston let us be more understanding and leave it once again to return to nature and to the ever sweet sound of the 'song-birds'. And let the memories of our loved ones remain in our hearts. Also a little back in the 70s I happened to come across a village not far from here where there was a green with oak and ash trees, next to the church hall. It was so peaceful and reminded me of Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest. What a lovely place to be laid to rest - I thought. The following year I happened to be in the same area only to find, you've guessed it, a car park.GRAHAM WILTSHIRELawrence Close, Worle
