Regarding the decision by North Somerset Council to close the lay-by on the A369 at Portbury Hundred, thus depriving Mr Buljoo of his living after 15 years on this site.Once again North Somerset Council have demonstrated their total indifference to public needs and opinion by arbitrarily closing this lay-by with very little notice and no consultation with those most affected.Mr Buljoo has operated here for the past 15 years and has a loyal clientele who have now been deprived of this facility, whilst a 'storage depot for highway maintenance materials' apparently takes precedence.Added to the ongoing Cabstand lights fiasco, North Somerset Council has again displayed their disregard for the people of Portishead and our needs.
