TOO often we hear about the negative stories concerning children and young people. But I am writing to you about an outstanding campaign that is trying to buck this idea of young people as troublemakers but rather highlight the fantastic work they do for their communities if they are heard. The 'Seen & Heard' report, commissioned by BT in partnership with the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP), is a collection of stories of young people from across the country. Identified as outstanding examples, they have succeeded in getting their voice heard and making a positive difference to society. In its fourth year, the 'Seen & Heard' report highlights 15 amazing stories of young people who want to make a difference - and the organisations and adults who listened to and worked with the young people to overcome problems such as disability, poverty and racial discrimination.I urge your readers to log on to www.bt.com/listening to learn more about the 'Seen & Heard' 4 report and BT'S 'Am I Listening?' campaign. It's a very noisy world, let's all listen out for young people.ANDY HAMFLETT - Chief Executive UK Youth Parliament
