I HAVE just opened the Mercury and was initially shocked that it was playing a distasteful practical joke. Considering how upset all the residents and visitors to Weston were over the destruction of our wonderful Grand Pier, I am now even more aghast that these proposed designs for the rebuilding are for real! Along with the latest proposal for the Tropicana being accepted, I despair of poor Weston.
