THE jewel in the crown: As a schoolmaster, father and grandfather I have appreciated the North Somerset Museum (under whatever title) for about 50 years and am conscious what it has done for my children and me.
I look with horror at the council's proposal to interfere with it, to disseminate its work hither and to close the present premises.
I can only liken it to expecting Her Majesty to pawn the Kohinoor to pay the palace gas bill.
