As a dog owner and the owner of a seafront business I'm both.
What could be nicer than a walk through the woods with a canine companion?
But on the other hand cleaning up the poo left along the promenade by selfish dog owners is far from pleasant!
I feel that dogs being only allowed in Grove Park on the lead is more than fair. We have the beach, the woods and Ashcombe Park to let our dogs roam free.
Perhaps more could be done to bring the irresponsible owners to book, more fines would be a start.
Maybe a bylaw requiring all dog owners to carry poo bags or name and shame a few owners!
