AS ANY campaign should always be based on facts rather than emotion could I ask North Somerset Council to correct the following, where I have got it wrong?

The idea is to privatise The Playhouse and the Winter Gardens as a single entity whilst persuading whoever takes on the lease to install a 'new museum' on two floors of the Winter Gardens, north side, which would require a lift to be installed.

The museum artefacts that are not moved there (by someone who knows nothing about local history) will be moved to a new storage and research area in Sunnyside Road as Burlington Street is too hard to get to.

To save more money the council buys a massive new building without due process or planning but now says it will only move 350 people there and not 700. The other 350 people will go to agencies that might, by a remarkable coincidence, end up in the same building. Having stopped the staff travel allowance staff will now pay about 10 per week to park in their own car park.

Then we get the brilliant cost-effective trick of shutting places like 'Poppyfields', thereby causing a greater requirement for daycare, whilst putting up the cost of daycare to above most pensioners' income from the pension ... and all just before a general election where their own party has a minimal majority.
