I HAVE followed the correspondence regarding the benefits or non-benefits to Weston of the beach races. As an event organiser who organises events nationally, I have never yet signed a contact with a venue where there has not been a clause requiring reinstatement for any damage done. Each day I drive past the Beach Lawns and see the severe erosion of grass caused by this event, yet over the past few years I have seen no sign of any effort to put it right. As the event is now one of the largest in the country, I would have expected the venue (the council I assume) to ensure the ground is reinstated by the organisers.KENNETH SALTER - Managing Director SK Promotions LtdMeadow Street, Weston
