MR WALTER has my sympathy regarding Weston Village and the terrible layout leading to problems for motorists and residents alike. I spent 20 minutes trying to locate a house on Worle Moor Road on one occasion, a near impossible task because the roads have absolutely no logic or even signposts! What makes this worse is the lack of adequate parking in the area. Cars have to be parked on pavements, around corners, or verges, anywhere in fact, as short-sighted planners did not provide enough parking per property.Weston Village and Locking Castle are such high-volume estates with a mixture of property types, surely planners must realise that very few homes have just one car these days? Compare these areas with the Bournville estate, traditionally considered Weston's problem estate. It is interesting to note that the Bournville has larger houses, more land, more green space and plenty of parking and wide roads making it safe to drive around and safer for pedestrians. Also, you can easily locate any address on the estate! I wonder which will be the problem estate of the future?G W BURNETT - Elmhyrst Road, Weston
