WITH reference to the comments made by Councillor Elfan Ap Rees concerning the hazardous junction at Ladye Wake/St Mark's Road, Worle, as reported in the Mercury dated July 3.I know he is well aware of this particular problem. There is no need for him to waffle on about the need to check other junctions and having a policy of light action and not being heavy handed with regard to problems of this type, though he might feel differently if his child or grandchild were to be seriously injured or killed in an accident at this junction.Just to remind Cllr Ap Rees again: A decision has already been made by the council to issue an enforcement order for the obstruction to be removed, so further discussion is not required. We need action. This approval was given by the director of development and environment on April 1, 2008. It is now July 2008 and still nothing has been done. If we need to wait more than three months for action to be taken in this straightforward matter, then what chance have we regarding the many other problems within the town? Please, councillors, just act upon your own decisions.JOHN GRINHAM - Ladye Wake, Worle.
