No transport infrastructure

I AM very disappointed that Cllr Elfan Ap Rees has decided to take to mud slinging at other party politicians, and accusing Mike Bell of self promotion and pot calling kettle black.

Well look to yourself, councillor, appearing frequently in the paper and on local TV promoting not only other peoples ideas but getting your face out there, just as new party hopefuls do as they vie to further their political careers, pot kettle black? And how many, who make our lives so complicated, were never brought up in this area?

Yes councillor, I will stand up and admit I am wrong when the 'Bargain basement offices' prove to be a success. But I dispute claims that all constituents were happy with the proposals, I believe nobody knew anything about the purchase until it was too late, I certainly had no say in it.

Most Westonians I have spoken to are more than a little suspicious of this purchase, including leading businessmen, and most are more than a little concerned about the logistics involved in getting staff to a town with no transport infrastructure.

And again, yes councillor, I will stand up and applaud our council, when you can tell me the Tropicana will open for business, when you tell me the old pier is taking visitors again, and when you tell me the vacant shops in our town centre will again serve me.

I will buy you a beer and say thank you when I can see the crowds walking and playing on our seafront and when my hotelier friends tell me business has never been better.
