I know there are many people in Weston who would like to see the trams running from Royal Sands to Birnbeck Island, especially once the new pier facilities are open and the seafront enhancement scheme completed.
Anyone who has visited Seaton, in Devon, and ridden the tramway there will agree that it is a nostalgic experience and could easily be adopted on our long flat seafront.
Anyone who has been to Blackpool will tell you that the trams are an exciting part of the seafront fun and many go to Blackpool just for the rides.
I agree with Robert for an inland terminus at a park and ride - possibly on the old airfield and I will add a detour via the railway station to tie in with the seafront line that would be icing on the cake.
Many of us moan about Weston but good things are happening on the seafront so is it wrong to imagine tram rides as well.
