HERE we go again! This issue came up 23 years ago, and the people of Weston were overwhelmingly against developing the Italian Gardens (pictured above)! It seems that some people are not able to take 'no' for an answer, and are happy to destroy another piece of historic Weston which makes our High Street unique. For what purpose? Profit, we suppose. PATRICIA FELLOWES - BanwellEDITOR'S NOTE: Our understanding is that the Town Square could be developed to provide Weston with much needed shops and the Italian Gardens would be left alone.
