With reference to your article or road surfaces in Portishead there are many areas where repair and re-laying are urgently needed. One particularly bad area is around the triangle at the top of West Hill. Much of this damage was caused by a recent extended spell of work by a gas supply company. This has resulted in the whole of West Hill and Upper Down road resembling an off-road course.Bob Bull - Portishead
