THERE have been a number of incidents in Weston Woods recently when dogs have bitten another dog or a person.I witnessed one recently and whilst the owner was very apologetic and thrashed the dog after the incident, I don't know if this is the answer. I would have thought it would have made the dog even more aggressive.I would appeal to any owner who thinks their pet may react in this way, to keep their dog on a lead or muzzled. This may prevent any situations occurring which could escalate out of control. The woods are a beautiful and therapeutic sanctuary to be enjoyed by everybody - hikers, children, youth groups and, of course, other dogs.DEE JONES - St Marks Road, Weston
