THE ongoing improvements to Weston town centre, including Big Lamp Corner and Silica, have come from the council successfully bidding for and winning funding from the Regional Development Agency's Civic Pride initiative. This funding, totalling £11m, can only be used for the 11 allocated projects across the town. It is not available to be spent on other issues.
