IN RESPONSE to the article on pages 12 and 13 in the Mercury last week, I would like to offer a more positive outlook on behalf of some of the traders in the Orchard Meadows area.
IN RESPONSE to the article on pages 12 and 13 in the Mercury last week, I would like to offer a more positive outlook on behalf of some of the traders in the Orchard Meadows area.
There are many shops here who are doing good business, and even some who are expanding. We were all quite disappointed to see another article focusing on the shops that have closed.
This area of town is home to the independent shops that visitors to Weston like to find, it offers them something different from the usual nationals. They all have the usual high street stores in the towns they have come from.
Several opportunities have been missed by the council to promote this area and what it offers the town but this should be a good year for Weston with the new pier, and all the visitors it will bring. Please just be a bit more positive in the future.
