WESTON-SUPER-MARE has been struck by Banksy fever and hundreds of you have been trying to get a glimpse of what’s inside the show via our social media sites - here’s our five most popular Instagram posts this week...

The Mercury exclusively confirmed world-famous street artist Banksy had chosen The Tropicana – a former lido which lay empty for 15 years – as the setting for his latest show, Dismaland.

A twist on Disneyland, the bemusement park showcases more than 50 artists from around the world.

There are 10 never-seen-before pieces from Banksy himself as well as work from the likes of Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer and Jimmy Cauty.

Thousands of people are expected to flock to the town to queue for hours to get a glimpse of what now sits inside the Tropicana site.

Music acts will also be part of the exhibition, with musical giants Massive Attack already confirmed to top the bill on September 25.

The Mercury gave away 1,000 tickets to its readers for an exclusive locals-only day yesterday (Friday).

The 1,000 tickets were handed out in just 60 minutes to people from North Somerset.

The site will have capacity for 4,000 people per day.

But thousands are expected to flock to the sea front to join vast queues after website issues prompted a change in the site’s ticketing system.
