THANK you to the gentleman and lady who called for an ambulance for me on May 6 when I slipped off the kerb and broke my ankle.

I was in hospital for 10 weeks. I am at home now, but I still have to use a stick and a four wheeled walker.

They offered to take me in the ambulance and come with me, as my husband is partially sighted. My husband declined their very kind offer and came with me himself. This took place outside Spar opposite Tudor Market in Weston.

I would also like to address the woman who caused the accident as she was parked on the disabled and elderly crossing on a drop down kerb.

This caused me to slip off the kerb trying to go behind her. She then started backing back. I saw death looking me in the face. She was a foot off me. We all started banging on her boot.

The manager of the Spar ran out and tapped her window. She opened it and the manager told her I had fallen behind her car. She shot off.

Did she tell her family or friends, how she left an 83-year-old woman on the ground?

God moves in a mysterious way so she had better watch out.
