WHEN I heard about the proposed closure of Wesley Owen, the only Christian bookshop in Weston, I felt passionate enough to write in protest, especially as we are just at the beginning of the HOPE 08 initiative. I would expect that this year, the resources at Wesley Owen will be particularly useful to all the churches in the town. If the reason behind the proposed closure is financial, I am sure there will be many people like myself who would be willing to give freely of some of their time to help Wesley Owen stay open. My spiritual walk would not have been the same without the help of many Christian books along the way - different bibles, reading notes, biographies and auto-biographies, study books, teaching books etc.MRS R M SPENCER - Willow Close, St Georges
