RECENTLY my husband Andrew and I had a garden party to raise funds for two causes, Weston Hospicecare and Bristol Rovers Youth Team. We raised in total 2,855, 500 was given to BRFC youth team and the rest to Weston Hospicecare.

This has been reported on very briefly but we would like to add on a few thank you notes.

The garden party was held on July 4 and more than 200 people attended.

We had a fantastic time!

On behalf of Andrew, Adrian and Sheridon we would like to thank all who attended and donated to the party. Special thanks to the great band Choker who gave up their time for the cause. The acoustic band Bees Making Honey who were great and to Nick Harris for coming from London to do the disco. Great busking at the bar by Nick Shangolis with his sax.

Special thanks to John Dudd and Swallow drinks for the use of his bar again.

Thank you to The Big C Ski Club for donations towards the beer and barbecue. To Good Days News for supplying the rest of the drinks for the bar etc. To Rich Russell for the lovely rolls for the barbecue. To Pete and Rach for the pig roast and cooking on the barbecue. To Wilf, Shane and their team behind the bar (which was very busy). The Weston Gas. To Ken Masters, one of the directors of BRFC who spent the whole evening with us. The lucky pirate mascot who turned up in his full glory! To our mates Carol and Alan for all their help and support.
