I WAS recently with my relatives in Sand Bay and travelled by local bus. I found the drivers very helpful and polite. As a whole most passengers were, but in particular I noticed some pensioners were selfish on buses. They were sitting alone on a seat for two when people were standing or moaned because they had to wait for a bus. On one day the Sand Bay bus broke down. We got a taxi but they said they were too poor. As there were at least 50 of them at the bus stop, all with bulging shopping bags it would have been cheaper than the bus fare. I appreciate them coming to Weston, but people do need to get to work by bus.Could I ask Mums with buggies to remember the buggy zone is for buggies not them and if people, particularly disabled or old are standing, they should not sit down with children. To be fair to Mums it's hard to travel with children and I have seen able bodied pensioners, young children, teenagers, etc., sit in seats for disabled. I ask anyone who does to think of others.I am a little old lady but remember my manners and help others. I would ask anyone travelling on buses or parking in disabled places or using disabled toilets when not disabled, to think that one day they might need help themselves and feel they would be the first to complain if courtesy was not extended to them.MRS McACALPINE - Visitor from the West Midlands
