I REFER to the letter from Derek Stanley published on March 2 and wish to clarify the position.BBC Points West requested permission to film the meeting of North Somerset Council on February 20 and permission was given. Shortly before the meeting was due to start the cameraman was filming in a position which would have impeded full public participation. I, as chairman, approached him and asked if it might be possible for him to move to the side. I did not ask him to stop filming. The cameraman ignored my request, answered his mobile phone and left the building.Unlike meetings of Parliament, meetings of North Somerset Council are open to the public and permit public participation. There is absolutely nothing to hide.COUNCILLOR ROZ WILLIS - Chairman of North Somerset Council
