I HAVE just read your story on the suggested M-way link road from Clevedon to Flax Bourton. I can only hope that this is a pie in the sky suggestion for many reasons, mainly the fact that it would cut through my back garden.Another consideration is this: £160m is an awful lot of money. Just think of the repairs that could be carried out to the farm tracks masquerading as roads in this area for the same cost. As a motorcyclist I have forearms like Popeye from just trying to keep the bikes upright on the rough tracks called B roads hereabouts. Makes you wonder what happens to all the road tax I pay each year. I own three bikes and two cars, not all used every day but all taxed just in case. Has the money I paid out in road tax gone on commissioning this report that recommends carving up the green belt just to provide another strip of gridlock? (Hence the bikes. I cover few miles in the cars as I do not have the patience to waste my life sat in traffic).I almost wish the planning application for houses turned down 15 years ago was granted. I would rather have houses than roads, but I recall the lack of roads was the reason the housing plans were turned down. Anyone want to buy a house?ANDY DUNN - Via e-mail
