AS much as one regrets the loss of the Grand Pier Pavilion, would you remind the public that at the other end of Weston, namely Birnbeck, although the island and bridge are dilapidated there is a lovely shop called Pier View which is manned by Friends of the Old Pier Society. They have some lovely memorabilia of Birnbeck Pier in its heyday.E HAYCOCK - Beach Road, Weston
