DOG walkers in Uphill, please clean up after your dog. On January 31 my dad who will be 80 in July was walking home from the local shops when it began to rain so he decided to run the rest of the way. As usual, there were copious amounts of dog mess along Uphill Way and, having skirted around some, he slipped and fell, tearing his coat and cutting his arm. A pedestrian and a motorist kindly stopped to check that he was OK: thank you. Every time we visit my parents, we are disgusted by the local dog mess problem and I'm guessing that not all the dogs involved actually live in Uphill itself.MRS JILL BRIGHT - Grainger Avenue, Nottingham
