In reply to your article in the North Somerset Times about Portishead Open Air pool not being re-opened.I have used this pool every summer since it opened, when I was at school and I am now 55.Most years I have bought a season ticket and have been amongst the regulars who use the pool most days during the season.It will be sorely missed by many people, but to close it, only to spend thousands on it and reopen it as an ice rink, is ludicrous.Not many places have an open air swimming pool and I feel no better use could be made of it.Ann Hailwood - Underwood Road, Portishead
