YOUR front page story last week headlined Scaredy-cat postmen blacklist house featured a photograph of a lady wearing a nurse's uniform and holding a cat against her.
Following this, readers have contacted the hospital to point out that to handle animals in uniform is poor hygiene practice.
The trust agrees with them wholeheartedly and would like to point out that the lady in the photograph is not employed at the hospital.
We appreciate the vigilance of the public regarding this matter and will take the opportunity to remind our own staff of our rules regarding uniform hygiene.
