NOW that the new council has said it will look again at the plans for the sea wall can I ask if anyone has considered putting in a storm drain instead? Why try to stop water from going somewhere when it would seem more sensible to give it somewhere to go
NOW that the new council has said it will look again at the plans for the sea wall can I ask if anyone has considered putting in a storm drain instead? Why try to stop water from going somewhere when it would seem more sensible to give it somewhere to go! The idea of a marina is excellent, but I fear the price would be prohibitive. A storm drain, however, could possibly be on a par with the cost of the walls. Stretching from Knightstone Island to an outflow south of the Grand Pier, it could be dug into the landward edge of Knightstone Road, through Royal Parade and into Marine Parade. A deep drain covered with a continuous grating would mean that it would be almost unnoticeable. MRS T GILSON - Coombe Road, Weston
