We all know that Junction 19 cannot take any more traffic.Why then do we keep granting planning permission for new houses all around Portishead? The major developers have to give some money to various infrastructure projects (called 106 money). Why don't we say that planning permission for a new dwelling anywhere in Portishead requires £10,000 to be given to a 'Railway Fund'?This would be a small percentage of the selling price of each new dwelling and could soon make a difference to our appeal to reinstate the railway.
