HAS anyone else noticed the increasing amount of cars, vans and lorries that are using the 'bus only' section of Regent Street, Weston, as a rat-run to avoid the traffic on the seafront and in Oxford Street?I work for First Bus, and sometimes spend long periods in Regent Street monitoring our services, and have noticed an ever growing amount. The signs at both ends are very clear, there are signs and painted notices across the road, but motorists choose to ignore them, and I have seen no attempt by the council or police to enforce this traffic ban. With the speed that some traffic illegally travels through this section it is only a matter of time before someone is injured or killed. You also see many people come along High Street past TJ Hughes and carry on through the 'no entry' signs into Regent Street. On several occasions motorists have had to reverse on meeting an oncoming bus in this one-way section.KEITH TAYLOR - Via email
