Many people in Portishead are worried about the state of the flower show field since the fair moved on, so I would like to reassure them that the repairs are in hand and will be completed in time for the carnival and flower show.It was unfortunate the rain arrived when the fair came, but the show staff have been most co-operative in helping to redress the situation.May I extend a warm welcome to everyone to attend the carnival and the flower show - both are very good entertainment for all the family.John Tovey - Portishead Horticultural Society
