I HAVE just walked by the new Weston attractions by the Marine Lake, and I overheard a lady with four children talking to her friend. She was saying: "I cannot afford to let the children have a ride on the carousel. It seems if I wanted to even give the youngest a ride, with me holding her riding the horse, I would have to pay the full fare for both of us and that means £4."I thought that sounded a lot of money. I actually timed the ride. It was exactly two minutes. It would be a pity if we were looked at as a rip-off seaside town. As this is a council initiative, maybe they should get involved.LAURENCE F ORME - Shrubbery Avenue, Weston
