A LAW could and should be passed in Parliament to ban trucks from using rural roads in North Somerset and the rest of the country. Why can't John Penrose MP pass a Private Members' Bill in the House of Commons to ban HGVs from rural roads? Also, why can't he establish an all party parliamentary group on rural transport issues, composed of MPs that share the same problem in similar constituencies up and down the country? They could then unite and present their arguments for a truck ban collectively to the Government and opposition from bench.
