This a good example of a local matter gone out of hand. All manner of unwanted good items are taken to the tip. I have acquired a few including a door and some wooden furniture. They have been very useful. For the council to say they are unable to guarantee the quality is clearly an utterly fatuous statement as everything can only be bought on an 'as seen' basis. No-one should be expecting a guarantee but they could clearly benefit from a cheap opportunity. Anything the tip staff might make on it is well earned. I think the council attitude is much too narrow and controlling where it is totally unwanted.Roger English
