I AM one of the many soaked but delighted people who stood in the rain to welcome her Majesty to Weston seafront. She passed us on her way to Knightstone and had the few small children there jumping up and down and shrieking with sheer excitement. On her return the heavens opened so the walkabout didn't happen and nobody blamed her for that, but did your reporter catch the conversations along the route, about how ashamed we felt that nobody thought fit to raise a flag anywhere on the Winter Gardens, or even switch on the outside lights? Was anyone actually in there to offer her a cup of tea? We know it's had a coat of paint and even some smart new curtains but don't you think they could have run something up the flagpole?CAROLE BRESSINGTON - Victoria Square, Weston
