I AM writing to express my disgust at the inconsiderate low life who stole the grit from the box at Worle Community Centre.

Unfortunately, there were no witnesses so no one can be named and shamed. However, Sherlock Holmes was not required as an obvious trail led from the bin up to the flats behind the centre. So someone knows the thief.
The Community Centre is a registered charity and its day centre does a great job looking after elderly, infirm and disabled people also those with learning difficulties. The recent weather caused problems with their transport getting up the hill. Then they had to contend with an ungritted steep drive and steps causing more concern. Luckily the couple of helpers who fell whilst clearing the snow were not seriously injured.
If the culprit is reading this I hope you are now ashamed for stealing from those less fortunate than yourself. Unless you've injured your tiny brain by landing on your backside, think next time before you do something so selfish.
