RE council scrooge at the tip: I have just read the above article in the North Somerset Times dated January 17. Who on earth is responsible for this new rule! I think this is one of the most ridiculous rules that I have heard for a long time. Sounds like sour grapes to me - someone in North Somerset Council doesn't like to see someone making a bit of extra money. If the staff at the tips wish to take the trouble and time to sort items that can be sold and do someone else a service and so avoid even more filling of waste rubbish sites, it sounds like a very good idea to me. And they didn't have to have numerous meetings (at our expense) to come up with and implement the idea. We are always being, supposedly, consulted and asked our opinions and something that the public wants and supports is going to be closed down. Hopefully, this decision will be 'scrapped and buried' immediately!Christine Scruby - Via e-mail
