FROM a child visiting Weston with my grandparents, the pier has always held a special place in my heart. The only thing on recent visits was the eating places never catered for vegetarians. When we have brought visitors with us to the pier, I have had to always provide vegetarian snacks and other people bought from the caterers on the pier. Unless there is an upgrade in the catering I ,and many others like me, will boycott the pier and it will die like the Tropicana, and Birnbeck Pier. How my grandparents and parents would be upset, and as for a comparison to Blackpool, that is an insult. Blackpool is a candy floss and fish and chip place full of drunken slobs urinating and puking in the streets. Please save our Weston. It is super Mare. MS NORMA HUGHES - Summer Lane, Banwell
