THE afternoon of Sunday, July 13 saw a drama unfold on Sand Bay beach as our daughter was galloping on Bonny, a white horse which she helped look after. The horse lost its footing in a hole in the beach, resulting in the horse losing its balance and our daughter tumbling on to the sand. We would like to say a special thank you to the families who kindly supported us, kept her warm by using their blankets and occupied our youngest daughter. Also to the lady who kindly donated her towel. Thank you doesn't seem enough to say for the time you spent with us on the beach whilst waiting for the ambulance, and the positivity you radiated that day. Many thanks to the staff at A & E who supported Katherine as well. She is now recovering at home, having spent a few days in Bristol Children's Hospital with a fractured skull and loss of hearing along with internal bruising, but it could have been much worse.BORIS, ANGELA, KATHERINE AND ELIZABETH - Via email
