IT WAS good to read on last week's front page of the Weston Mercury that Caroline Chennells' post office in Brent Knoll has been saved after villagers rallied round to raise £10,000 in two weeks, after she was plagued with problems earlier this year. The post office is vital as a focal point for community life along with schools, churches and village halls.I hope when Caroline sells the shop and adjoining house it will carry on serving the heart of the community, and I salute those kind-hearted people for turning Caroline Chennells' life around.
