The sea is flat

A NUMBER of highly paid individuals have recently made statements alleging that we could not demolish the Tropicana as it would ruin the sea defences.

I do have to wonder if they have noticed that the sea is flat and therefore the defences at the Tropicana site do not need to be higher than the walls each side?

It would be perfectly viable to demolish the entire rear section of the building, keep the shop frontage, and use some of the stone to create a new wall at the back. If I have missed something here could someone please let me know because I operate by logic and not consultants.
